A Boat

There is a boat lying along the sea with her oar broken and canvas torn. Likely, its voyage stops forever, yet her solid bull has proved that her voyage solely began a shot time ago. Only did a storm force the boat to pause.

Should some one come and use his hands to make an oar for the boat, fix its torn canvas, additionally install a compass, then it will definitely re-set its sailing direction and start off again without any regrets. Even the boat shall encounter one more storm, have its oar broken or canvas torn, the boat will go on just because of his existence. But when is the day he will come and repair her deformity and enable the boat to continue her journey? No one knows. What the boat can do is to wait with patient and cherish the hope that he comes finally. The boat is no more than a boat with its oar broken and canvas torn. 

If he doesn’t come, probably the boat could be rolled into an aimless journey by storm waves. Perhaps, some day, the boat is lucky enough that it will be brought to its desired destination by a gust of wind and put an end to its vagabondism. It is also possible that after experiencing the arduous life which is full of impetuous storm, ferocious sunshine and pouring rain, the boat’s hull that used to be solid gradually fades away and vanishes. Or the boat is salvaged and made into other wooden products, something like wine buckets and chairs. The boat will live in an entirely different life.

However, what the boat desires most is his arrival, and it will be able to continue its unfinished voyage and realize its long-cherished wishes deeply imbedded in her heart. Even it must go through unforeseen hardness, her advent was, thus, meaningful. Should it be turned over by a storm and sink and lie at the bottom of the sea, it will still make up its mind to set off, for it is terms of a sailing ship. The boat had pursuit her dreams and had seen the magnificent view of the great oceans.

Though the boat and the man did not know each other at the very beginning, but they have a same heart that will bring them together eventually. They will stay with each other in all weathers and face the challenge. The boat waits in peace and with a firm belief that some day, he will come to build a qualified oar for it and revamp its canvas pitted with holes, to set off together, to exercise the challenge that their destiny prepare for them to test their privity. What profoundly rooted in this boat’s mind is that the man must have been trying so hard looking for it as well.
